Following his election as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Lang’ata, Felix Odiwuor, a well-known media personality better known by his stage name Jalang’o, made his YouTube account available to the public.

The former Kiss FM breakfast show host explained in a video that he was handing over control of the program to his staff since he wouldn’t have time to do so given his obligations as a politician.
Jalang’o asked them to form a company and continue creating content on the channel. However, they will have to give him 20 per cent of their monthly earnings.
Jalang’o also disclosed that he would establish a channel in Parliament that would attract more subscribers than the one he has already distributed.
The channel currently has 573,000 subscribers and more than 59 million viewers.
Since 2020, Jalang’o TV has expanded as a result of the media celebrities’ interviews with various public leaders.
When he declared his intention to compete for the Lang’ata parliamentary seat earlier this year, he stopped giving interviews.
On the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket, Jalang’o received 38,948 votes whereas Nixon Korir, the current MP, received 36,836 votes.
